Real names and photos

Neighbours show up with a name, a photo and their area - the more someone has filled in, the more you have to go on. It is not an ID check, the safety comes from meeting in person before the first session.

Reviews and ratings

Neighbours can leave reviews after receiving or giving help. Reviews build a public history visible to everyone.

Direct communication

You message each other directly before committing to anything. Ask questions, meet up, and get to know each other. No pressure, you choose who you feel comfortable with.

Community guidelines

Clear expectations for everyone. Anyone who violates the guidelines can be suspended.

Local and personal

A local community means members are real neighbours. You can meet in person, and you walk the same streets afterwards.

Tips for safe cat hosting

Meet first

Always meet in person before the first time. Let the cat greet the person who will help.

Share instructions

Write clear care instructions for your cat: food, medicine, routines, and vet contact info.

Stay in touch

Stay in touch during the help period. Share photo updates so everyone feels at ease.

Leave a review

Leave an honest review afterwards to help the community grow safely.

Good to know

Kattkompis is a free community platform. We do not provide insurance, financial guarantees, or identity verification. You are responsible for assessing your own comfort level. For cats with special medical needs, we recommend having your vet’s contact info ready.
